It isn’t uncommon to witness spats between different anime fandoms. From storyline to characters, there is a constant tug of war when it comes to perspectives. In a recent turn of events,Demon Slayerfaced flak from theOne Piecefandom for Muzan’s slow-paced entry. Some even compared it to an Indian soap opera.

Although both series have their arch villains, the slow-paced entries of these antagonists are a hit or miss. While Muzan’s entry was dramatic, Imu’s slow-paced walk was rather more impactful as fans pointed out.
One Piecefans trolled Muzan’s slow-paced entry inDemon Slayer
Muzan Kibutsujiis the arch-villain of the seriesDemon Slayer, written byKoyoharu Gotouge. Apart from being the oldest demon in the series, he is also one of the mostpowerful demonsin the series. He’s responsible for turning several innocent humans into demons through his Blood Curse. However, there’s more to it than meets the eye.
Muzan’s regeneration andmanipulation of his demonsmake him a formidable character in the series. His overarching presence as a villain was exaggerated in the final season of the series. In Season 4 Episode 8, his relations with the Ubuyashiki clan are made clear. His entry into the Ubuyashiki mansion is nothing short of dramatic.

Both series are similar in their portrayal of an arch-villain. While the slow-paced entry of Muzan was dramatic, it was brutally trolled byOne Piecefans. Furthermore, the overlooking of the slow-paced plot and the entry of Imu in One Piece highlights the toxicity of the series’ fanbase.

Be it gender or identity, Imu’s character has raised several burning questions for the fanbase. Imu sits at the pinnacle and controls the events in the series. From destroying the Lulusia Kingdom to controlling the Gorosei, they hold unprecedented power and strength. While their ambiguous identity and gender draw anticipation, the frustration is often overlooked.
