Dead Island 2is the talk of the town right and for all the good reasons. The game has plenty of content to keep you entertained, and its quest system has some amazing rewards locked behind side quests. Like all side quests in the game,‘Dez and The Mother of Satan’is not a mandatory quest to complete. However, if you decide to take it on, there’s an excellentweapon modwaiting for you to collect upon completing the quest.

Picking Up The Quest
To begin the side-quest, you must first complete theBoz Makes a Bangside quest. Later,Hanawill contact you through a nearby radio and share that she has been worried about Dez as the latter hasn’t been in contact for some time now. You will learn more about Dez and that she is experimenting with some volatile chemicals in a CDC camp nearThe Pier. The conversation with Hana will initiate theDez and the Mother of Satanside quest.
Finding Dez
Your first objective is to head toThe Pierand locate the CDC camp. As you approach this area, you’ll hear an explosion go off, and you’ll have to follow the noise to its source. Be prepared to face a group of8-10 zombiesthat will attack you. You can either defeat them or avoid them by running past them. After clearing the area of any remaining zombies, find and open the gate to reach Dez, who will be on a metal scaffolding near one of the domes.
Once you reach Dez, eliminate any zombies present in the camp before speaking with her. Dez will inform you that she has been experimenting with a grenade launcher and requires your assistance in herding a few zombies into the camp for field testing. Since you’re on the ground, you’ll have to deal with any zombies coming, while Dez tries her grenade launcher on them from the safety of the scaffolding.
If you have explosives on you, use them to make the fight more manageable. After clearing the area of zombies, talk to Dez to receive your next objective. She will request that you retrieve somezombie goopandtriacetone triperoxide, which she affectionately calls the Mother of Satan.

Finding Mother of Satan
To locate the Mother of Satan, you must head to thequartermaster domeat the camp. Keep following the hallway to locate a collectible record on a small machine. You’ll notice that the floor around the machine’s electrified, and you have to jump across to access the record. Collecting the record will reveal the location of TATP, and you’ll need to head to themain dometo share your findings with Dez.
To reach the main dome, you’ll need to navigate through another dome. Be cautious of theelectrified sectionsof the floor in the dome, and also watch for any zombies that might jump on you from around the corners. Once you arrive at the main dome, you’ll find Dez on the balcony, overlooking her test subjects on the floor below. You’ll need to help Dez with her experiment and clean up the dome of any zombie activity.
When dealing with the zombies in the main dome, you’ll need to beespecially cautiousof a screamer namedSubject: Juliet.This screamer can shock you if you’re in her screaming radius. Also, watch out forelectrified walkersthat can deal extra damage to you if they manage to hit you. The tip here’s to maintain as much distance as possible from the zombies and take them out withexplosives. Even ashotguncould do wonders in making quick work of them. Eliminate all the zombies to receive a well-earned compliment from Dez.

Reward For Completion
Your final objective is to speak with Hana and inform her that Dez is safe and sound. For your efforts, Hana will share the information on a lock box in theLotusville Mall. Additionally, completing the Dez and the Mother of Satan quest will reward you with4,500 XP, asuperior melee Electrocutor mod, and theGo, Bobcats! trophy.
