Weapons inDave The Diverare split into two categories:GunsandHarpoons. Both of them can be upgraded using their respective phone apps once you’ve progressed far enough into the game.
Related:Dave The Diver: Tips & Tricks For BeginnersHarpoon is the primary weapon that Dave always has with him, and he can’t switch it out for something else. With mediocre damage, it is useful for always having a damage source at hand that can quickly take down small fish without sacrificing a bullet charge, but for larger, fiercer fish, guns are the way to go.
How To Upgrade Weapons/Guns
Guns in the game can be upgraded via Duffy’s Weapons Shop. Rifles, Tranquilizer Guns, and Sniper Rifles each have their own upgrade paths that function similarly to a skill tree where you can unlock more and more of if you have the prerequisites unlocked.
You cannot start to upgrade guns as soon as you unlock Duffy’s Weapon Shop, so don’t worry if you’re able to’t find the option to upgrade straight away. First, you’ll need towait for a scripted event with Duffy that happens in Chapter 2. As you progress through the game, Duffy will contact you on his own, without prompting, and update your Weapons Shop with anew featurethat allows you to give your gunspermanent upgrades.

Where To Find Fragments
Unlocking the upgrade feature will also unlock the ability to dismantle Guns to gain Fragments.Fragments are the primary resource needed for every upgrade. Even though you may also find Fragments lying about in the ocean, dismantling is going to be the primary way you collect Fragments for upgrades.
To collect Fragments, open Weapon Cheststhat are spawned quite frequently in the Blue Hole. Open the chests and see if you want to switch your current weapon with the new one. Whichever weapon you choose to leave behind, dismantle it before continuing your dive.
How To Upgrade The Harpoon
Harpoons are upgraded via the iDiver Appalongside your carry weight, Oxygen tank, and Diving Suit. Upgrading the Harpoon increases its base damage.
Take note that you cannot upgrade your Harpoon’s tips to gain elemental damage like Poison, Shock, Fire, etc., from the iDiver App.Elemental Upgrades for the Harpoon can only be found during explorationinside Weapon Chests, similar to how a Rogue-Like game works.
