Paradox Interactivehas announced thatCrusader Kings 3’s next expansion, Tours and Tournaments, will be released onThursday, May 11th. Presenting a medieval world of trials, the upcoming content pack will be available for $29.99 USD.
The Tours and Tournaments expansion will add new adventures and grand activities that allow players to create their own stories and take their tour to a jousting realm, where they will come across quarrelsome rivals, build a relationship with their vassals, and demonstrate their military prowess. Those grand activities include wedding and royal tours that will improve players' social standing. They will also increase their standing against vassals by extorting higher taxes.

The expansion is described as a presentation of a new medieval world of trials and tribulations, allowing players to rewrite an alternate history with new adventures, strategic opportunities, and insidious rivals.
“Let wanderlust overtake your ruler’s desires during a monumental Tour, and seek out your subjects in a realm that can be both dangerous and richly entertaining,” the developer team teased what players should expect from the expansion via ablog post. “Prove yourself in one of the many forms of gallant Tournaments, either abroad or at home.” The Tours and Tournaments DLC will also add new armor designs, western clothing, and Knightly Accolades.
In addition, Paradox Interactive has revealed a new event and flavor pack, both of which will be released later this year. The Wards and Wardens event pack adds new events that will make the challenges of raising and educating children even harder and more interactive. The Legacy of Persia flavor pack, on the other hand, focuses on the struggles for power in the Euphrates and the Indus, where the power of the Abbasid Caliphate started wreaking havoc. It also brings new government and religious forms to highlight the culture of this region.
Lastly, players can dress their characters with a new pack inspired by the fashions of the Holy Roman Empire. Titled ‘Elegance of the Empire’, it includes new robes, dresses, crowns, and regalia. The clothing pack is available now on all supported platforms.
