At the time, all Sheen could talk about was his “tiger blood” and how he was radically “winning” in his life. But for all his talk, the public perception of the actor kept sinking rapidly out of view. As the actor kept spiraling out of control – an event that Sheen liked to call “an epic drug run” – he was fired from CBS and Ashton Kutcher proceeded to take his place on the show.

It would take Charlie Sheen 7 years since then to adopt a completely clean bill of health. His on-and-off rehab runs took a turn for the better when he announced that he was a year sober as of January 2019.
Charlie Sheen Harbors Some Regrets About His Past
Despite his epic view from the top, Sheen’s rollercoaster journey as a polyamorous man didn’t last too long. In an interview withLoose Womenin 2019, Sheen admitted how difficult it was to watch video footage of his public and bizarre downfall from years prior. Contrary to his self-assured wins and tiger-blood-fueled lifestyle in the past, the actor admitted:
It feels awful. I can’t sit there and lie to you. Some of it is very surreal. To this day, I am not sure how I created such chaos and wound up in that headspace. It’s as though there was some alien or demonic possession going on. I’m not at all [the same person], not how I am existing and feeling today. I wish I could make a lot of it go away, but they wouldn’t call it the past if it wasn’t.

In this new light, Charlie Sheen was adifferent man. He advocated sanity, nobility, and a return to innocence. Sheen called for aTwo and a Half Menreboot that could run for a couple of seasons and end with proper closure. The actor also believed he was sociopathically optimistic and wanted to present a spectacular version of himself at work.
But most importantly, he credited the CBS sitcom where it was due, apologized for violating their trust, andmade amends with Chuck Lorre. With time, Charlie Sheen’s life came full circle as his public meltdown that originated from the sets ofTwo and a Half Menended in a wholesome reunion with his former boss who offered him a role that allowed him to shine in the 2023 comedy series,Bookie.
