Some fans have been wondering whether Gunn would ever come back for a possible fourth Guardians film (led byBradley Cooper‘s Rocket Racoon) or a brand new story. This question was posed to the director by a fan onThreads. However, the director made it clear that he is now fully committed to building the new DC as he said,“No, I’m pure DC.”
Another fan asked whether he could write and work under Marvel Studios again, to which Gunn replied,“I could not either physically or legally.”It seems the director signed a contract with WB that his focus will be purely on DC, and he can not work with other studios. This means that Gunn will not be involved with a potential fourth Guardians film or anything to do with Marvel anymore.
Gunn has already mentioned many times that he has achieved whatever he wanted to do with the character arcs in theGuardians’films with the trilogy. Thus, there is no point in bringing him back for another film that will feel like cash grab. Fans should instead focus their attention on the upcoming exciting new endeavors he has to offer in the DCU.

James Gunn Denies Rumors of Batman Casting For New Film
James Gunn‘s new DCU is set to introduce a new Batman with his son Damian Wayne inBatman: Brave and the Bold. Recently, many rumors started circulating that the casting process for the new Batman is underway.
However, Gunn denied those rumors and clarified that a script hasn’t even been written yet. The director gave this statement onThreadswhen asked by a fan about the casting process for Batman. He said.
“Keep getting this question, don’t know where it’s coming from, but wherever it is, it’s totally false. We don’t have a script yet.”
