Capcom has updated its “Platinum Titles” list – games that have hit one million units sold, and has provided a sales update on some of the publisher’s most high-profile releases.

The critically-acclaimed Resident Evil 4 remake is heading the list, which has now hit 9.2 million units sold. While the horror remake was released in 2023, it continues to sell well, snagging over 1.2 million sales since September 2024.

Interestingly enough, Street Fighter 6’s sales seem to have slowed down significantly, managing only 300,000, though it’s sitting at 4.4 million units sold in total, which isn’t bad for a fighting game.

As for the future of Resident Evil, Capcom hasconfirmed RE9 is in development, though hasn’t said anything about that since then. We are hoping that more news about it will be revealed this year. Another development in the brand isthat a new movie is being made, and this is from acclaimed Barbarian director Zach Cregger, who wants the films to stay faithful to the source material.

RE4-BETTER

If you haven’t played Resident Evil 4, there’s a reason this remake has sold over nine million units. Its not nostalgia, but the game is that good. On the other hand, Open Critic is sitting at a “Mighty” rating, with over 98% of critics recommending it.
