Pokemon GOhas finally started to add Alolan Region Pokemon to the game as of recent and the latest addition is that of Oricorio, which has people wondering if it will have a shiny form available in its debut.
Oricorio joinsPokemon GOas part of the Festival of Colors event, which honors the Hindu celebration that has become more of a global event over the years.
Oricorio also arrives in four different forms, which means you are going to have to figure out which one is in your region as well with its debut.
Which Oricorio Is In Which Region?
Oricorio was introduced inPokemon Sun and Moonand was one of the more unique Pokemon in that generation due to it having four different forms. While all four Oricorio are secondary Flying type, the primary typing varies depending on which of the four forms you have.
In those games, your Oricorio could change forms by sipping a special kind of nectar. However, that is not how it’s going to work inPokemon GO. Instead, each of the four will be catchable in a specific region of the world as a regional exclusive.
The type of Oricorio that you will find in each region are as follows:
Can Oricorio Be Shiny InPokemon GO?
Shiny variations of Pokemon are often handled differently inPokemon GOwith how they are first introduced. Sometimes they release alongside the Pokemon’s first appearance, while others first appear only in their regular form before later getting a shiny form attached to an event of some sort.
Oricorio falls in the latter category, unfortunately, as there will not be a shiny version of any of the four Oricorio forms with its debut inPokemon GOalongside the Festival of Colors event.
On top of it being Oricorio’s debut, Niantic probably didn’t want to confuse people due to the four regional exclusive versions around the world, and them each having their own shiny forms.
We’ll have to wait and see when they decide to add shiny Oricorio to the game, as it’s likely going to be a while at this point.
