A brand new update forCall of Duty: Vanguardwas deployed earlier today (December 6), but you won’t notice any changes right away as the patch isn’t currently installable.
Today’s patch was in preparation for the beginning ofWarzoneandVanguardSeason One, which is set to begin on Wednesday, December 8th. The patch isn’t installable just yet, as it is simply to allow players to pre-load the upcoming update.

Call of Duty: VanguardSeason One Update 1.08 (December 6)
The pre-load forCall of Duty: Vanguardhas begun rolling out, but don’t worry if you’re yet to receive the update, as new season updates are often staggered in release.
However, as today’s update is merely a pre-load, it won’t be installable for those that have received it until Season One launches on December 8th.
So players won’t notice any changes inCall of Duty: Vanguardjust yet, but there is plenty to look forward to. On December 8th the game’s very first season begins with new weapons, maps, modes, operators, and more.
