Just now,Call of Dutyarchitects Infinity Ward and Activision dropped a ton of newCall of Duty: Modern Warfaredetails about its multiplayer, open beta, and more. With this also came a lot of information on its PC port, which is being worked on by both Infinity Ward andCrash Team Racing Nitro-Fueleddeveloper Beenox. The PC version ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfareis set to have some features such as an FOV slider and uncapped framerate, two things that please many PC gamers.

It is also worth noting that the PC version ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfarewillhave full cross-playwith the PS4 and Xbox One versions, and Multiplayer Design Director Joe Cecot delved into how exactly that will work with DualShockers. “We’re going to be matchmaking by peripheral, so if you’re a keyboard player you’re going to play with other keyboard players. But, if you’re a console player and you’re playing on a gamepad you can actually opt in…We also don’t let you change your controller or peripheral mid-match, so once you’ve chosen it, it’s locked in.”

As for the other features of this port that Activision describes as “fully-optimized,“Call of Duty: Modern Warfarefor PC will have widescreen and multi-monitor support, which should work well in tandem with the FOV slider, as well as HDR support. This year’sCall of Dutyon PC seems to have most of its bases covered when it comes to one’s PC setup, but Beenox is also making sure that players will be able to customize the controls. The customizable controls encompass rebindable inputs, simplified key binding, and unspecified “advanced mouse options.”

It is also worth noting that the game’s PC release will only be available on Battle.net. Still, this port will arrive on June 22, 2025 alongside the PS4 and Xbox One versions ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare. If you do plan on picking the game up on console,pre-orders are currently available on Amazon.
