Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3multiplayer matches have a Disruptive Behaviour Enforcement system that was introduced in the recent Code of Conduct update. Ever since its arrival, questions have been rampant regarding how it works and what penalties are in place for what crimes.

As we all know, competitive shooters and MOBA games are havens for toxic players as a large section of the players indulge in cyber-bullying and shaming relatively weaker or newer players across all platforms. While most games have their own counterpart of Disruptive Behaviour Enforcement, they all have their own flaws.
So, we will see what the countermeasure entails and what are the various penalties that come with the different types of toxic player behaviors.

Call of Duty MW3 Disruptive Behavior Explained
Last monthCall of Dutyrolled out the Code of Conduct update in a bid to crack down on toxic player behaviors across the multiplayer servers. Anybody caught exhibiting toxic behaviors towards other players received a ban from being able to partake in the general or voice chat.

But, like all countermeasures, the Code of Conduct is not without its issues. A number of players, who just happened to have their mics turned on, got shadowbanned without any specific reasons. After they are banned, they get the message, “Disruptive Behavior Enforcement: Voice chat temporarily disabled for public channels“.
If you come across this message, it means you have been banned from communicating on the game channels. The length of the ban varies from 48 hours to weeks and months. However, there are ways to appeal to Activision if you believe that you have been wrongfully banned.

Apart from Asia, all the other servers have their chats moderated by humans and technology. The technology in question can be assumed to be an AI that has been trained to moderate the conversations on the platform to adhere to the Code of Conduct.
COD: MW3has seen an impressive rise in popularity, along withWarzone, even after server issues, asfans are loving the downfall of the skill-based matchmaking system.

Appeal Against Disruptive Behaviour Ban in Modern Warfare 3
You can appeal against the Disruptive Behavior Ban through theofficialsupport page of the game and the officialActivision Support account on X.
With theCall of Dutyfranchise coming to Xbox Pass, fans have also started taking a look at older iterations of the game and are reevaluating their worth.

Although the anti-toxic measures are good for the entire community in general, there are some players who are getting wrongfully shadowbanned due to weird circumstances. Several players have faced bans just because their mics were turned on and they reacted to the in-game scenarios. To be fair to the Code of Conduct, it does ban players for curse words, even if they are uttered in frustration and are directed at oneself.

Usually, the bans last for 48 hours, depending on the infarction. If you see that you have been banned for a long time, then you should reach out to the support pages for further clarification.
