Haenir Studio has just released anew gameplay trailerfor its debut title, Blight: Survival. In the video, which was uploaded byIGN, fans get to see the game’s stealth and combat in action, as an ironclad knight slays the infected and evades fellow humans. This self-described action-horror rogue-lite is set in the 14th century, giving players a medieval horde to fight against.

The trailer shows a knight running across a dilapidated farmland, treating viewers to wretched scenes of infection and plague. The knight then gets spotted by some enemies — who look to be infected corpses of humans — with some even still wielding their weapons. The player then makes quick work of his foes, slashing them with his long sword and tackling the infected to the ground before executing them with ferocity.

The knight eventually leaves the farm and heads out into the world, encountering fellow (living) humans. They must not be friendly, as the player quickly draws a shorter sword and gets to the ground, squatting in a full set of armor. After sneaking around the first set of guards, the player then finds an enemy solider alone and dispatches him stealthily, searching his pockets for anything of value.

In the final moments of the gameplay trailer, the knight finds a friendly soldier who guides him to a shrine and eventually the top of a grassy hill. The two overlook the dying fields before them, as the trailer closes.

Fans across the Internet are impressed with the quality of the gameplay in the trailer, highlighting the fact that Haenir Studio is actually just two developers who still have day-jobs. In a recent post on Reddit, commenter u/spypolwonders, “This looks and feels like a triple A game. I am genuinely confused as how only 2 people can do this on their spare time. Please explain that to me.” In response, the developersgive creditto their tools, saying, “Unreal Engine is really powerful.”
