Since that release, many have been looking forward to House House’s follow-up. First revealed in December 2023, Big Walk was described during the Day of the Devs stream as a “brand new experience unlike anything else we’ve ever played.”

“It’s a tricky game to describe,” House House explains, “but it’s mainly about doing two things: talking and walking.” It feels like a combination ofopen world gamessuch asRust, and others.
House House developed a proximity chat system that mimics the realities of life. You’ll sound different if you’re next to someone, far away, in a tunnel, or even through soundproof glass.
Spoiler alert: you won’t be able to hear them.
“In a situation like this, where you can’t hear each other, you’ll need to find other ways to communicate,” House House explains. As such, they’re introducing several additional ways to communicate with each other.
Big Walk’s Gameplay Is All About Teamwork and Hanging Out With Friends
So, what does all of this communication earn you? That depends on what you stumble upon in the world of Big Walk. As you can imagine, the most important part about Big Walk is, well, the walking. There are plenty of times you may get lost from your group. Teamwork is essential, so using various tools to reconnect is essential.
You’ll stumble upon various challenges within the game, and according to House House, completing challenges is how you progress through the game. These challenges can involve solvingpuzzles,platforming, and more.

One thing that stands out with Big Walk is how it encourages organic moments that will come up on their own as you hang out with your friends in the game. “We think there’s some real magic that happens when you forget your plans and find something else entirely,” House House adds.
Big Walk will be released in 2026.
