You’ve finally launched free of Erros—DreamCore’s “we have Earth at home” planet—and are free to explore other planets inBeyond Galaxyland. So long, nature preserve for the human species!
Beyond Galaxyland Review
Looking to scratch that JRPG itch? Beyond Galaxyland vies to be the genre’s best in 2024.
Three planets are available for you to explore: forestedCrystalis, glacialArcos, and DreamCore’s capital city-planetNeo.Sure, there’s also volcanicJunoon the map, but … you’re not ready for that. Not yet, anyway.

Yet when you set down on Crystalis, you’re greeted with overgrown plants and a tree that warps you all over the place. Don’t worry—we can help younavigate the forest and reach the settlement of Moonfall.
If you want to visit Crystalis in the early game, do it right after getting your spaceship! Once you visit Neo, you’ll be unable to explore Galaxyland’s other planets until you’ve completed the next (long-ish) chunk of the main story.

10 JRPGs That Deserve Full Remakes
Some fantastic JRPGs have been left behind over the years. These are the best classics that deserve full modernized remakes.
Entering the Mystic Woods
you’re able to visit Crystalis any time after you’ve completedThe Water Templequest and the (admittedly trivial)Finally Movingquest on Erros. Once your pilot and engineer, Meela, powers up your spaceship, the next destination is yours to pick.
Scoot your spaceship over to purple Crystalis and land. You’ll be put down in the middle of the planet’sMystic Woods, and the questThe Hidden Villagebegins automatically.

The Mystic Woods Puzzle
Getting here was easy, but navigating the forest can be a real pain in the neck. West of the central clearing you’ll find a white tree with three blue apples on it.
When you approach the tree, it warps you to a section of the forest withtwo exits: one to the left, one to the right.

In an homage toThe Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time—one of the Nintendo 64’s all-time greats—you’ve got to navigate back and forth through identical rooms to journey through the maze.
Fortunately, the map has been sitting in front of you the whole time.

The tree’s branches showthe directions required to reach different areas of the maze, and theblue apples show notable locations.
Each time you finish a branch of the warping tree’s puzzle, you’ll find a white glyph. Approach it, and you’llwarp to the Save Point by the knight’s statueif your route was incorrect.
Remember to take photos for Brutus while you explore! During your first visit to Crystalis, it’s possible to snag pictures of a Pixi, a Killer Wasp, and a Dozetoad (which is also one of my favorite summons!).
To complete this quest, you’ll need to reach thehighest blue apple. The route is pretty simple:left, right, left, right.Do it correctly, and you’ll wind up in a small grove with a glyph identical to the rest.
This time, you’ll get warped toMoonfall, the Pixis' home settlement on Crystalis. However, your arrival coincides with arather ominousevent … watch the cutscene play out, and discover what threatens the Pixi people!
