While exploring Rivington (right outside of the Lower City), you will find an Abandoned Windmill. The coordinates for this windmill are X: 44, Y: -36.Once you have found it, you may go inside the windmill and find a hatch that leads into the Windmill Basement. There, you will find the Mind Flayer passed out and will be prompted to either wake him up or kill him.If you wake him up, he will tell you that he is starving. Unfortunately, that means he needs a body.
How Do You Feed Him?
There are a few ways that you can go about feeding the Mind Flayer. At the end of the day, he needs a body to eat. This means you are going to have to kill someone or find someone who has already died.If you want to kill someone, there is a couple eating a picnic near the windmill that you can easily take out. However, if you want to avoid bloodshed, you can head down the hill and find the well.Inside this well, you will find the bodies of murdered refugees that are just rotting away down there. If you pick one up, you can take it back to the Mind Flayer to eat. Once you have found your body, return to the Mind Flayer.
Should You Feed Him Or Kill Him?
Honestly, feeding him or killing him is completely up to you. No matter which option you choose, you will have the same result. If you kill him, you can loot a Mind Flayer Tadpole from him, and if you feed him, he will give you a Mind Flayer Tadpole. At the end of the day, this is a quest that allows you to roleplay without worrying too much about consequences. Your companions andfollowerswon’t feel one way or the other (thoughThe Emperorwill want you to kill him).
