If you side with the side of ‘Good’ in Act 2 ofBaldur’s Gate 3, you’ll end up having to save the Tiefling refugees once again. This time, directly from the clutches of the cultists of the Absolute inMoonrise Towers. Afterrescuing the Tiefling prisoners, players can return toLast Light Innto find them reunited with their companions. If you save everyone,Moland her crew will be among the ones that make it back to the inn. Mattis, the young Tiefling vendor, will have a prize for you: the Tower-Shaped Key.
If you pass the necessary dice rolls, you’re able to convince Mattis to hand over the key for free. Otherwise, you’ll have to cough up 1,000 gold for it. Regardless of how you obtain the key, the fact remains that it’s impossible to know how to use it.

Where To Use The Tower-Shaped Key
The Tower-Shaped Key is used to open a hidden chamber in the basement of theMason’s Guild, just north of Moonrise Towers.From the Reithwin Town Waypoint, head north to the Mason’s Guild from the front entrance.
Go straight through the first chamber with the stacked marble blocks into the next room. There will be a wooden ladder in the middle of the room leading to the second floor. To the left of the ladder is theOrnate Wooden Hatchleading down into the basement. Take it to go down.

There is a lift on the outside of the building on the side facing the Mausoleum. Interacting with the lift by clicking on the Control Wheel will also lead you down into the basement. Both pathways lead to the same location, so it doesn’t matter which one you take.
Quicksave, take the stairs and circle around to the other end of the room. You’ll need to succeed in apassive Perception checkto reveal theKeyholed Herald, an ornate silver keyhole that matches the Tower-Shaped Key.

Interact with the Keyholed Herald, and your character willuse the Tower-Shaped Key, revealing a hidden area just behind it. There is atrapped chestjust ahead and adifficult fightwith multiple shadows past that. Take a long rest if you need to before heading further in. The final room contains a bit of lore behind thepast of General Ketheric Thormand his relationship with the Selunite worshippers of that time.
