While playingBaldur’s Gate 3, you will probably notice pretty quickly that the game is massive. There are a ton of areas to explore and little hidden secrets to find. This means that you’ll need a lot of allies to help you on your journey.
Baldur’s Gate 3: Chapter 3 Checklist (Things You Don’t Want To Miss In Act 3)
Baldur’s Gate 3 has a ton of missable things in Act 3. Here’s everything you want to ensure you don’t miss.
Thankfully, there are around 25 NPCs that you may find throughout the game who are willing to join your cause. The only caveat is that you need to find them and do specific things in order for them to join you in your camp. Here is how to find and recruit them all.

Baldur’s Gate 3
Act 1 Camp Members
There are 13 camp members to recruit in Act 1, and only one of them is temporary.
How To Recruit Astarion
Astarionis a High Elf Vampire who can become a member of your party.You will meet him at the beginning of the game close to where the Nautiloid crashed.
How To Recruit Gale
Galeis a Human Wizard and another person who can join your party.He is stuck in one of the teleportation portals north of the Nautiloid.You just need to help him out of the portal by taking his hand.
How To Recruit Karlach
Karlachis a Warrior Tiefling who can also join your party.She can be found near Risen Road outside of Druid’s Grove.You will need to help her get rid of the Paladins hunting her.
How To Recruit Lae’zel
Lae’zelis a Githyanki Fighter that is able to join your party.After the crash, you may find her near Druid’s Grove in a cage.She has been captured by Tieflings and needs you to get her out of the cage.
How To Recruit Oathbreaker Knight
The Oathbreaker Knight is an entity you probably don’t want hanging around your camp.To obtain this NPC, you will need to be a Paladin andbreak your oath.After this happens, the NPC will appear.
How To Recruit Owlbear Cub
TheOwlbear Cubis only recruitable if you take a specific set of steps.First, you will need to headwest of Emerald Grove Environs and find the Owlbear’s cave. Then, persuade the mother Owlbear to let you leave and head to the Goblin Camp. you’re able to then find it in the Goblin’s Camp for 30 Gold.
How To Recruit Sceleritas Fel (Temporary)
If you are playing as the Dark Urge and kill Alfira, Sceleritas Fel will visit you.He will mention that he is your butler and try to get you to do unspeakable horrors. He will appear a few times after this, but never for long.
How To Recruit Scratch
Scratchis a lovable dog in the game.you’re able to find him south of the Owlbear’s Nest sitting beside the body of his owner.When you approach him, you will need to be nice and ensure you don’t upset him. He will show up at camp a few nights later.
How To Recruit Shadowheart
Shadowheartis the Half Elf Cleric that you meet on the Nautiloid and she can join your party.Whether you save her on the ship or not, she will be on the beach waiting for you after the crash.
How To Recruit Tara (Temporary)
Tarais Gale’s cat, and she can only be in your camp if you’re playingGale’s Origin Story.In order to recruit her, start a game as Gale and wait until you do your first Long Rest.Tara will come to camp to stay for Act 1 after that.
How To Recruit Volo
Volois a hilarious Bard with stories to tell.In order to recruit Volo, you will need to save him from the Goblin Camp and then again in Baldur’s Gate.
How To Recruit Withers
Withersis an undead entity that will allow you to respec your character.In order to recruit him, you will need to complete theDank Cryptarea of Act 1.
How To Recruit Wyll
Wyllis a Human Warlock and another companion for your party.He can be found in Druid’s Grove teaching Tieflings to fight.All you need to do is agree to help him on his quest.
Act 2 Camp members
you may recruit 5 camp members during Act 2. Unfortunately, 2 of them (Arabella and Thaniel) are temporary members.
How To Recruit Arabella (Temporary)
Arabella is a Tiefling child that you can have at your camp for a time if you save her.In order to recruit her, you will need to save her at Druid’s Grove and stop the Goblins at the Goblin Camp.If you do that, you can find her in Act 2.She will tell you that her parents are missingand will stay with you until they are found.
How To Recruit Halsin
Halsinis a Wood Elf Druid, andhe can join your party(but this requires a bit more effort). If he doesn’t join your party, he will remain in your camp.He can be found in the Goblin’s Camp.You will need to help him escape and save the Druids and then do some quests in Act 2 to recruit him.
How To Recruit Jaheira
Jaheirais a Half-Elf Druid and is recruitable later in the game.She is originally found at Last Light Inn during Act 2.You will need to save the Nightsong and ensure Isobel lives if you want to recruit her.
How To Recruit Minthara
Mintharais a Drow Paladin with some questionable morals.She can be found at the Goblin’s Camp and can be recruited if you kill the Druids.However, some players have been able torecruit her without giving up their morals.
How To Recruit Thaniel (Temporary)
Thaniel is a Spirit that is the embodiment of the Shadow Curse lands.In order to recruit him, you will need tolift the curse on the land.After that, he will be at your camp for some time.
Act 3 Camp Members
you may recruit 6 camp members (and 2 animals) during Act 3. Here they all are.
How To Recruit Aylin & Isobel
Aylin&Isobelare a couple that can only be recruited together. They will only stay at your camp for a short time after the conclusion of their quests.In order to recruit the two, you must first ensure Isobel lives during the attack on Last Light Inn. You must then save the Nightsong.If you do both of these, the two will reunite and join your camp.
How To Recruit Barcus Wroot
Barcus Wroot is a Gnome NPC that can stay at your camp.to recruit him, head to the Blighted Village and complete theRescue The Gnomequest. Then you will need to save him again in Grymforge.After all this, he will join your camp.
How To Recruit Duke Ravengard
Grand Duke Ravengard is Wyll’s father and the Grand Duke of Baldur’s Gate.to recruit him, you will need to finish the quest “Rescue The Grand Duke.“If you save him during this quest, he will join your camp.
How To Recruit Minsc (And Boo)
Minscis a Human Hunter and is the last companion that you can recruit for your party.He is found in the Counting House during Act 3 while you are doing Jaheira’s personal quest.
How To Recruit Mizora
Mizora is the one who has Wyll’s soul.If you save her during Act 2 when you find her in the Mind Flayer Colony, you can recruit her to your camp.
How To Recruit Yenna & Grub
Yenna & Grubare a young girl and her cat that need help in Baldur’s Gate.To recruit them, speak to Yenna in Rivington about her mother. A few nights later, she will appear in your camp and ask for help. If you tell her yes, she will stay in camp.
