Over the past year, Inti Creates has made a concerted effort to get more of its games on new platforms.Blaster Master Zero, its sequel and Mighty Gunvolt Burst all came to PC last year. Now, Inti Creates has confirmed that bothAzure Striker GunvoltandAzure Striker Gunvolt 2will finally make their way over to PS4 this April via theAzure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack.
TheStriker Packthat contains both games will cost $39.99 and comes out on April 23. All of the DLC for both games is included, so that means every stage, boss, mode, and song released for either game is accessible to PS4 players. The games now run at 60fps, DualShock 4 vibration has been added whenever Gunvolt uses an electrical attack, and menus and texts have been redesigned to work on one screen and look better at higher resolutions.
The PS4 versions ofAzure Striker GunvoltandAzure Striker Gunvolt 2also come with quite a few new improvements over the originals. To start, a brand new theme song by Megu Sakuragawa will debut inAzure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Packfor PS4. Additionally, the kudos system in the original game has been reworked to function as it does inAzure Striker Gunvolt 2andInti Createsclaims that other unspecified gameplay and difficulty tweaks have been made. If you own a PS4 but have missed out on theAzure Striker Gunvoltseries thus far, this port gives you a great opportunity to try both games.
For those of you that are unaware,Azure Striker Gunvoltoriginally released as a 3DS exclusive in 2014 before coming to PC in 2015.Azure Striker Gunvolt 2followed in 2016 on 3DS, and both were re-released on Nintendo Switch with the help ofShovel Knight’sYacht Club Games as theAzure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack. That package is what is being brought over to PS4. The latest game in the series,Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avengers iXcame out last year for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switchand was really good.
