Well, back before Hans Zimmer and Klaus Badelt were attached to the 2003 moviePirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl,Alan Silvestri was suggested for the movie. Although he was replaced by Klaus Badelt, several movie posters still showcased Silvestri as the composer of the music. The posters also credit only three writers for the movie whileTheCurse of the Black Pearlwas written by Stuart Beattie, Ted Elliott, Terry Rossio, and Jay Wolpert (not shown).

On the other hand, another misunderstanding is thatHans Zimmeronly worked on the score created by Klaus Badelt.
