InAtomfall, having the tools for the job is half the battle. Knowledge is power in this nuclear quarantine zone, but equally, power is power. Firepower, that is.
8 Best Games Based in Britain
The best games set in Ol' Blighty, from a Sunday drive to the apocalypse.
You’ll need ammo for your weapons, crafting materials to make useful essentials, and if you’re able to find a training manual or Recipe along the way, all the better.

A lot of those things can be found via exploration, but if you’re getting killed consistently by Druids and Outlaws, you might benefit from mastering the art of the trade and visiting a merchant in the game.
There are quite a few of these dotted around the map, and to make your life a little easier, we have listed them all here so you may make a beeline for them and take advantage of their stock.

7Molly Jowlett
Slatten Dale (26.4E 79.1N)
The first trader that players will likely come across is Molly, who can be found in Statten Dale at the Trader Camp. She’s a very worthwhile trader to visit as she will not only offer some great information that will advance early game leads, but she also has some great stuff.
Molly has a key that will give you access to the Sewer Tunnels, which will grant you free access to all regions of the map, no matter who you have angered.

Plus, you can also trade for essentials like a Metal Detector, a Torch, and a Shiv Recipe.
6Iris Baxter
Wyndham Village (33.4E, 80.4N)
Iris is easily the most useless trader in the game by some distance. She can be found in the Bakery in Wyndham Village, and all she sells is Slices of Cake and Cornish Pasties.
The only use for Iris is to make the High Tea achievement a little bit easier by guaranteeing access to these confectionery items. But outside of that, there’s nothing good to be had here.

They are vital to a quest/lead involving her husband, Phillip, but just because they’re involved in an early game lead hardly makes them a good merchant.
5Morris Wick
Wyndham Village (33.2E, 79.8N)
Iris may be a pretty weak Wyndham Village merchant, but Morris makes up for that with his inventory. You can find him in the village hardware store beside the bakery.
Morris has a lot of good stuff, such as a painkiller recipe, and he also plays a key role in the St Katherine’s Church lead, which you’re able to partake in to get a Crafting Manual out of him.

So, all in all, Morris is a pretty good guy to know in the village.
4Mother Jago
Casterfell Woods 26.7E, 92.3N
If you head out to Casterfell Woods and head towards the Old Mines, you’ll find one of the key characters within the game, Mother Jago. She’s someone you’re able to side with for one of the endings, but she also doubles as a merchant with a supply of great items.
Mother Jago stocks an Antidote Recipe that makes surviving in Casterfell Woods much more manageable. She has the herbs you’ll need to make a Strange Tonic when the time comes, and she also has quite a lot of Antitode to hand as well.
The Antidote recipe is definitely the marquee item here, so be sure to nab it when you visit her.
3Sam Gorse
Casterfell Woods (21.5E, 89.6N)
Mother Jago isn’t the only merchant you can find in Casterfell Woods, as Sam Gorse, a guy who is suffering from the infection, is also stocked with good stuff. And don’t let the blue eyes put you off, as Sam assures you he isn’t going to kill you and chew on your bones. Which is somewhat reassuring, I guess.
Sam has some great goodies, such as a Consumables Manual and Poison Bomb recipe, along with all the usual essentials. The downside is that the surrounding woods are full of Druid and Outlaw patrols. But if you can make it to his camp, it’s worth the trip.
2Reg Stansfield
Slatten Dale (30.0E, 73.5N)
One of the more tricky merchants to find is Reg Stansfield, who can be found in the Slatten Dale Slate Mines. He’s a little bit out of it as the quarantine clearly has scrambled his brain a little, but that doesn’t mean he can’t trade with you and offer up some decent bits and pieces.
Reg doesn’t have much of note, to be honest, as he only stocks Burn Salve, Gunpowder, and a Hatchet. The Hatchet is the marquee item here and can be a useful early-game melee weapon, but aside from this, Reg is more useful for getting some early-game leads than anything else.
1Nora Thomdike
Sketehermoor (41.9E, 75.8N)
Lastly, we have the Skethermoor representative and the merchant that the Wyndham Village barkeeper uses as his contact in the area.
Nora can be found in her barn in Skethermoor, and if you can make it through the slew of traps she has set up around her home, you’ll get to make avail of her inventory, which is pound for pound, probably the best of the lot.
Nora can offer players a Nail Bomb recipe, a Shiv Recipe, and a Makeshift Grenade Recipe, as well as a bunch of First Aid Kits, Sticky Bombs, and Molotovs. In short, if you’re looking for a way to up your arsenal, Nora is the girl you’ll want to go see.
