Now, things are getting a bit confusing in the details surroundingAssassin’s Creed Valhallaand the size of the map. Earlier this month we reported that the gametakes place in The Four Kingdoms(Which is essentially the majority of England) as well as Norway. We’ve also learned that those getting the season pass will gain access to anexclusive Beowulf storywhich looks to be taking the player to new lands.

However, despite this, it was originally stated thatAssassin’s Creed Valhallawould not be the longest or the biggest in the series. This came from Malek, head of communications for Ubisoft’s Middle Eastern studio. However, since then the tweet has been deleted. Now we’re gettingnew reportsasan interviewwith producer Julien Laferriere who spoke withYouTuber Julien Chièzehas popped up. The portion of the interviewhas been translated and can be found on Reddit.

“I would actually say in terms of range it is probably a bit larger than Assassins Creed Odyssey.” Laferriere states. He continues, “we have not only created the whole country, which is in this case England, but also a good part of Norway too.”

He also mentions about secret worlds that he can’t discuss right now and claims that players will have many hours of gameplay. He also mentions that “it is a game which is clearly ambitious,”.

It seems that the original tweet regarding the size of the game was wrong and we will in fact be exploring an even bigger world thanAssassin’s Creed Odyssey. If the players getting hold of the Beowulf story do follow the entire story, there’s a possibility they’ll be traveling up to Sweden on top of the already confirmed areas.

Assassin’s Creed Valhallais slated to launch later this year sometime during the Holiday season. It’ll be heading to PS4 and Xbox One as well as PS5 and Xbox Series X. It’s also heading toPC as an Epic Games Store exclusive.
