While Ubisoft has already announced the title of Assassin’s Creed Shadows' first premium expansion as “Claws of Awaji,” it seems the DLC’s release schedule is now known too.
Players will need to wait a bit, as AC Shadows' first DLC won’t be out for months, which is now pegged to be sometime in September.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows First DLC Not Affected By Ubisoft’s New Development Mandate
Last week, Ubisoftmentionedthat they are taking more time to develop their games following the positive impact Assassin’s Creed Shadows had on not only critics but commercially as well.
According toInsider Gaming’ssource, this won’t affect Assassin’s Creed Shadows' DLC release schedule, which is schedule for September 2025, though it could be delayed to October. This means that from the game’s release in March, players will wait at least five months for the first major content drop.

Of course, Ubisoft has title updates planned with features that will be added for free, which are outlined in the game’s roadmap.
Not only that, but AC Shadows will also feature a co-op mode currently codenamed “League” that’s still in development, and is planned to be released sometime next year.. Insider Gaming’s source mentioned,“while they’re obviously central characters, there’s a deeper narrative tied into the co-op that will expand the experience beyond just the two of them," which implies this new mode won’t necessarily feature Naoe and Yasuke as the playable characters.
