A new update forApex Legendswas deployed earlier today, marking the second bug-fix patch to go live in less than a week. The update is now available to download exclusively on PC, and there appears to be no word on if the same update will be released for consoles.
Respawn Entertainmentrecently confirmed thenext Legend to be joining the Apex Gamesin Season 15, Catalyst. But, with two weeks still to go until the start of the new season, there’s plenty to look forward to when it comes to the remainder of Season 14. With the Fight or Fright event currently ongoing, today’s update will mark the return of fan favorite mode, Control.
It was previously confirmed by Respawn that the Fight or Fright Halloween event would run right up until the start of the new season on November 1st. During this time, a new limited-time mode would be rotated in each week, with this week marking the end of the Gun Run mode and the return of Control.

Apex Legends Update Patch Details For October 18th
We’re currently still waiting for Respawn Entertainment to release the official patch notes for the new Apex Legends update, but we do know what to expect thanks to both the officialApex Legends Trello Boardand YouTuberThordanSmash.
According to the game’s official Trello Board, the following fixes are marked as ‘arriving in future update’, which means we could see them arrive in today’s patch:
But according to Apex Legends YouTuber, ThordanSmash, there are also likely going to be some other important fixes for bugs found in last week’s patch. The first issue being that audio sounds for healing were amplified unintentionally, whilst the second bug appears to be causing Legends to get stuck in the air until they are killed by enemies.
