Angelis the spin-off series from the classic supernatural teen dramaBuffy the Vampire Slayer. LikeBuffy, it was created by Joss Whedon but was much darker in tone than its parent show.
It ran for five seasons from 1999 until 2004, reintroducing some iconic characters from Buffy and introducing some brilliant new ones created byWhedon. That meant Angel’s allies – known as Angel Investigations and, more colloquially, the Fang Gang – changed and evolved as it progressed.

In Memoriam: Glenn Quinn
Glenn Quinn played the half-demon character Allen Francis Doyle – known better as simply “Doyle” – in the first nine episodes ofAngel. Charisma Carpenter – $4 Million
Charisma Carpenter reprised her role as Cordelia Chase fromBuffy the Vampire SlayerinAngel, evolving as a character from being a spoilt student to a heroic member of Angel Investigations. Wesley Wyndam-Price wasn’t a founding member of Angel Investigations, per se, as he joined after Doyle’s death. However, with Alexis Denisof’s character being part of the team since the first season, he’s almost been there since the beginning. Denisof reprised his role as Wyndam-Pryce fromBuffy the Vampire Slayer, where he was presented as a bumbling Watcher. He appeared in Angel as a “rogue demon hunter” and was a joke figure, but he became a badass member of Angel’s team.
