While theDrunken Pig Questlinein Chapter Two ofBlack Myth Wukongcertainlyoffers a lot of cinematic momentsand boss fights, it’s not the only side-quest in Yellow Wind Ridge that you’ll want to take the time to complete.
Black Myth Wukong: Best Skills To Unlock Early
Spend Those Sparks Wisely
As you may have noticed, if you went out toward Fright Cliffto fight the Stone Vanguard, there are quite a few Stone Buddha Heads that you can interact with to gainBuddha’s Eyeball.
However, the game never truly explains what these are for. Not to mention that a few of these Eyeballs can be quite hard to find.

So, in an attempt to alleviate any stress and help you uncover a secret boss in this chapter, we offer you this handy guide detailing the location of eachBuddha’s Eyeball.
All Buddha Eyeball Locations in Black Myth Wukong
As mentioned,Buddha’s Eyeballare found in the Fright Cliff region of the map, and more specifically, all of these can be found in the Squall’s Hideout area of Fright Cliff.
You’ll likely stumble across at least one in this area, but if you don’t, you’re looking for a Stone Buddha Head with glowing gold eyes.

There are six of these in total, and you’ll want to find each and every one. But to save you time scouring every corner of this area, we have a quick list of locations where you’ll find each one:
Buddha Eyeball Location #1
The first location is so obvious that I almost feel silly even listing it because you can hardly miss it. But in a bid to offer a comprehensive list, here it is.
This Buddha Eyeball is found a stone’s throw away from the Squall’s Hideout Shrine. So spawn in there, scan the immediate area, and you’ll come across the one for sure.

Buddha Eyeball Location #2
To find your nextBuddha’s Eyeball, you’ll want to access the nearby cave system, which is accessed along a path to the left of the Squall’s Hideout Shrine.
As you navigate this cave, you’ll come to an area where a path bends upward to the left, leading you to an area with ambient torchlight.

You’ll have to deal with a couple of enemies in the area, so be on your guard, but once you clear those out, you can claim your second Buddha Eyeball.
Buddha Eyeball Location #3
The thirdBuddha’s Eyeballis located in the narrow valley where you may have already found the Man in Stone.
If you enter this path, from the ground level entrance and follow it along you’ll come to a glowing pair of eyes before long.

There is one enemy to deal with in this area, and a few archers on the raised platforms above, so you may want to use Cloud Step to grab these undetected.
Buddha Eyeball Location #4
The fourthBuddha’s Eyeballis located directly above where you got the last one. If you wander out of the narrow valley and hook a left at the chest containing some Gold Pieces, you’re able to clamber up some wooden platforms.
Along the way,you will have to deal with three archers, so spend a spark to unlock Mobile Spin if you know what’s good for you.
Then, once you reach the top of these raised platforms, you will find a Buddha head waiting for you to scoop out its eyes.
Buddha Eyeball Location #5
The fifthBuddha’s Eyeballis locatedvery close to the entrance to the next area of Fright Cliff, known as Rockrest Flat.
The player will want to travel along the path leading up to this area with entrances to the cave system to your left-hand side.
You’ll have to deal with a shielded porcupine enemy, but after that, you may enter Rockrest Flat, and just past and to the left of the Shrine, you’ll find the fifth Buddha Head.
Buddha Eyeball Location #6
We save this one until last, as this is probably the one that you are missing, as this Buddha is much better hidden.
To access this one, you’ll want to enter the cave system from the Rockrest Flat side, and you’ll want to look out for a path that hooks up to the right.
Take this and follow it along until you reach a huge rock with three glowing crystals. If you want to kill two birds with one stone, you can attack this rock, and this will reveal that it is, in fact, the Mother of Stones boss. But if not, you can just keep following the path outside.
This will lead you to an area overlooking the cliffs, and in this area, you will find the final Buddha Head you need to progress this quest.
What To Do With Buddha Eyeballs
Okay, so you have all theBuddha’s Eyeball. But the problem is, you probably still don’t know what they’re for.
Their purpose is to awaken a powerful secret boss, which can be accessed in the same area as the Stone Vanguard.
You’ll find a large boulder near the entrance to this battlefield, and if you have all the Buddha Eyeballs, you will have the option to deliver these items, awakening Shigandang. Which is seeminglyBlack Myth Wukong’sanswer to thePokemon, Geodude.
you’re able to fight the Stone Vanguard and Shigandang at the same time and if you do, Shigandang will kill the Stone Vanguard while you sit there and watch. So this can be a very effective way to take out both without needing to work quite as hard.
How To Defeat Shigandang
Shigandang is a powerful boss who mainly relies on strong physical attacks often followed up with pulsing AOE attacks. This means that you need to be aware of their patterns to avoid being pounded into the dirt.
They will likely begin the fight with a belly flop attack. They hang in the air for quite some time so don’t be too hasty to react and wait for the moment they drop.
After this, they will likely use one of their AOE combos. These vary from a backflop attack that immediately sends rock spikes in your direction, or they may use their much more powerful AOE attack, where they punch the ground and then crack the ground below.
The key here is tododge the initial blow while also moving away from the potential blast zone.
They also have access to a move that allows them to crawl after you, punching the ground repeatedly as they walk like gorillas.Just keep backing away during this attack, and you should stay out of their way.
Lastly, they have access to a ground attack that sends a shockwave across the battlefield. This can be easily avoided with a well-timed jumpover the shockwave.
The best way to get through this fight is to stay behind them. Despite having a rotating strike to flush you out, it’s telegraphed enough that you can avoid it and stay in position.
I would also suggest running a more defensive build, as their attacks may be slow and cumbersome, but if one of them lands, it’ll hurt a lot.
Rewards For Defeating Shigandang
If you manage to defeat Shigandang and finish this quest, you will earn the following rewards:
Of these rewards, theHeart of Stoneis the most exciting, as this will allow you to craft a new, powerful weapon known as theCloud-Patterned Stone Staff, which is a step up from theWind Bear Staffand offers additional defense, which is always a good thing.
