The Lord of the Ringstrilogy is one of the most iconic fantasy series of all time. Being the adaptation of the beloved J. R. R. Tolkien book series of the same name, it brought something new during a time when the genre was already full of magic. On top of the excellent cast, the films have been regarded as masterpieces, featuring excellent cinematography and magnificent world-building.

The three films will be released one day at a time, withThe Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ringreleasing on June 8th, followed up byThe Lord of the Rings: The Two Towersreleasing on June 9th, and finally,The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the Kingcoming out on June 10th. It has also been reported that there will be exclusive content in these movies, and will be the extended versions, available in 4K UHD.
When the news ofthe seriesbeing re-released hit online, fans were more than a little excited. Although the extended versions have been out for years, they were not released in theaters unanimously, so the experience will be unique.
